“LOU BLANEY MEMORIAL” ONLINE AUCTION BENEFITING ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION TO RUN JULY 25 THROUGH AUGUST 3

by Mike Leone Hartford, OH July 24, 2019 Back on July 6, Sharon Speedway hosted the 11th annual “Lou Blaney Memorial” to honor Lou (father to Dave and Dale Blaney, and grandfather to Ryan Blaney) and his accomplishments. After retiring from his legendary racing career, Lou suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for many years before eventually passing away in 2009.

Every year, a live auction, which includes many racing and non-racing related items, is held at the event with all proceeds from the auction going directly to the Alzheimer’s Association. Due to weather complications during the afternoon of this year’s memorial event, the live auction has transitioned to a running online auction, which will last for 10 days. The Auction will start Thursday July 25 at 9am and run for 10 days (ending on August 3 at 11:59pm). Link to the site is https://www.biddingowl.com/RBFamilyFoundation
