ST. HELENA, Calif (July 22, 2019) – St. Helena, California’s Rico Abreu has been enjoying success during his stint in the Midwest, now adding another pair of World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series top-ten performances, one of which a top-five outcome, to his ever-increasing list of season accomplishments.

Abreu, driver of the Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing/Abreu Vineyards/Curb Records/Lucas Oil Products/Southern Pacific Farms/Priority Aviation/Dewalt Tools/Mac Tools/Self Made Racing/Dancer Logistics/No. 24 sprint car, spent his recent week at the famed-Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, entering four straight nights of competition from Thursday, July 17, through Saturday, July 20. Qualifying for all four World of Outlaws main events contested, Abreu highlighted his trip to The Big E with a fourth place finish during Friday’s Knight Before The Kings Royal, advancing from eight to do so.

Other highlights include finishing sixth during Wednesday’s #LetsRaceTwo make-up, solidifying Hard Charger Award honors in the process; the result of a rally from the outside of row seven.

In addition, the recent MOWA winner in Lincoln, Illinois, finished 15th during the Jokers Wild program at Eldora Speedway on Thursday, bumping ahead from 20th on the grid.

Abreu capped his weekend in Rossburg, Ohio, by finishing 16th during the historic, $175,000-to-win Kings Royal finale on Saturday, July 20; the richest winged sprint car event in history. There were 62 cars entered for action on Saturday night with the California-native securing his main event starting position by finishing third during his respective heat race.

“It was a fun week at Eldora Speedway. We were able to show speed all four nights and that’s exciting. I think we were a little short of obtaining our ultimate goal, but there were 61 drivers signed on Saturday night who probably felt the same way,” Rico Abreu said, who owns three victories in 2019, two in California in addition to his recent MOWA triumph. “Hats off to this team and their efforts all week. It was hot and muggy. They were exhausted, I’m sure, but they never slowed down and they never stopped working. I appreciate what they do for me and I certainly wouldn’t be in this position without them.”

The trend of being busy will continue for Rico Abreu, now setting aim on five events in seven days, two taking shape across the border in southern Canada.

Rico Abreu will ignite his five-race campaign with the Northern Summer Nationals at Ohsweken Speedway, Canada, on Monday and Tuesday, July 22 & 23. The two-day, 360c.i. showstopper will award back-to-back $5,000 paydays.

Once early week action in Canada is complete, Abreu will hop back across the border and rejoin the All Star Circuit of Champions for a three-day stint through the Midwest visiting Jackson Motorplex, Knoxville Raceway and 34 Raceway on Friday through Sunday, July 26-28, respectively. The All Star trio will be highlighted with the $26,000-to-win, Rayce Rudeen Foundation event at 34 Raceway on Sunday night.
