Saturday night was a regular schedule of all seven divisions at Crystal Motor Speedway, all sponsored by Blake Hollenbeck Auto of Greenville

Despite the high temps at race time, over 115 cars were on hand to perform in front of a well-filled grandstand.

 

In the KFC Late Model feature event, it was Ryan VanderVeen of Six Lakes picking up the win over Zack Olger of St. Johns and Carl Ries of Blanchard. Ryan Lanphierd won the B Main event, with heat wins going to Travis Stemler of Ionia, Jimmy Gallagher of St. Johns, and Olger.

 

Stanton’s Austin Wonch picked up the win in the Lane Automotive IMCA Modifieds division over Dan Wiggins II of Fenwick and Mitchell Hunt of Greenville. Chad May of Rockford and AJ Ward of Ionia claimed heat events.

 

Don Rohn of Sidney repeated as the winner of the Next Level Graphics & Design LLC Street Stocks feature over Shane Spencer of Alma and Doug McKeown Sr of Sidney. Rohn, Tim Wood of Edmore, and Mickey Currier of Sidney scored wins in the heats.

 

Mike Currier got a good jump on a green-white-checker finish to win the Races On The Web Flinn Stock event from his seventh place starting position. Al Ridgeway of Sheridan and Kames Bannister of St. Johns rounded out the top three. Heats events were won by Greenville’s Rusty Sowles and Roshea Courter of Lakeview.

 

Alma’s Chris Malek picked up his third straight Port City Racing Pro Stock feature, winning over Andrew Fidler of Elwell and Blake Hollenbeck of Greenville. Ryan Teeter of Crystal scored the heat win.

 

Paul Grosnickle of Lansing picked up the feature event in the Engine Pro Pro Trucks division, with Curtis Rice of Muskegon and Kenny Dittenber of Carson City Vestaburg rounding out the top three finishers. Jim Beltz of Kent City picked up the heat event in earlier racing.

 

In The Greenville Daily News Mini Wedge divisions, June Dora of Fenwick scored the 6-9-year-old division, followed Eli Fellows of Crystal, and Mikah of Sidney. Heat events fell to Buskirk and Delano Hale of Crystal.

 

In the 10-14-year-old event, Andrew Bogart of Howard City picked up the win over Zayden Olger of St. Johns, Aby Brown of Hubbardson, and Ryan Read of Stanton. Read picked up heat event from earlier in the night.

 

Next week at Crystal Motor Speedway is a regular night with all seven of the regular divisions, sponsored by H&H Excavating of Carson City. Adults are $12, kids 5-11 are $5, and pit passes are $30.
